Why Won't A Gator Trax Slide?

THIS IS WHY! In this EXTREME example of pushing the handle ALL the way to the transom at full throttle, the right side of the boat has dug in due to the rounded chine meeting little resistance. The left side is then forced up, exposing a flat surface, (the bottom) for the water to push against, like a rudder. WE DO NOT RECCOMMEND TRYING THIS AT HOME This is an experienced driver attempting to show an EXTREME turn without sliding.

If this boat didn't slide when turned this sharp, can you ever really see it sliding under normal circumstances? Notice his trail in the water and how tight of a circle he is turning. He was doing 30mph at the start of this turn! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! This is an experienced driver attempting to show an EXTREME turn without sliding.

Of course you do not have to turn this sharp! This was done to prove to our customers that their Gator Trax will NOT SLIDE with an outboard. Normal turns look no different than they do on a traditional flat. Only there is no sliding!

Normal Turns You can see in this "normal" turn, the curve of a river, that the boat begins to dig in with its' left side. This is because the rounded chine allows it to "sink" in, forcing the right side up and creating a flat surface (the bottom) for the water to push against. It digs in!

Special thanks to Gator Trax Co- Owner, Allen Wall, for his EXTREME driving demonstration. This man's motto is NO FEAR! Do not attempt this at home! This is an experienced driver attempting to show an EXTREME turn without sliding.
