The Gator Trax Experience

One of the first things that confuses some customers is coming on our site and looking for a "model" to choose. That may leave you scratching your head because Gator Trax does something a little different. Instead of "models", we have sizes. Fifty-one of them to be exact. Once you choose a size that you are comfortable with, the rest of the boat is up to you. Storage, no storage, big front deck, short front deck, huntdeck, no huntdeck, the combinations are endless. Just remember this, the boats you see on our site all belong to previous customers. They are set up and designed the way you see them because that's the way that particular customer wanted it. If you see one you like, (and there are more than 3,000 pics here), great! If you don't, don't worry. You are not limited to these designs. Gator Trax boats is a true custom boat building facility. It's what we do.

Another aspect that sets us apart is the ordering procedure. We want to talk to you. We want to know what you intend to do with this boat. What activities do you plan to enjoy from the boat? What type of terrain will you be traversing? Open rough water? Protected backwater? Both? We also want to know the answer to quite a few more questions as well. This is not us being nosey, it's just that the answer to these questions allows our expert staff to help you design this boat so that you get the most out of it. Otherwise, you are limited to what boat "packages" or "models" that other boat companies THINK you want. At Gator Trax, we understand that each customer has his or her own ideas about what makes up the perfect boat. We encourage that here. Now, if you know you want a boat but have no clue what you need, that's not a problem either. We can still make suggestions on boat designs and layouts, tailor made for you, based on the answers to our questions.

So, put everything you know about buying a boat aside for a moment. Leave any preconceived ideas about being stuck with things you don't want or need at the door. Welcome to Gator Trax Boats...welcome to the outside of the box!

Pricing

Every hull we build and every accessory we can think of is already priced right here on our Pricing page. The prices listed are accurate and current. If you can't find what you are looking for, or if you are not sure if certain items can co-exist together, or if you want something built custom that is not listed, just give us a call and we can help! If you find a size boat you like, all items that come with that boat as a standard feature will be listed in blue right under that section on the pricing page. If it is not listed in blue there, the boat does NOT come with that feature. You can then just scroll down to the accessory list and add the price of that accessory to the base price of the boat you have chosen.

Sizes or custom jobs not listed on the pricing page are welcome. Just give us a call. (225-294-9991)

If you find a picture of a boat in one of our galleries and you are not sure what size it is or what options it has on it. Just call us or email us a picture of the boat and we will be glad to quote that specific boat out for you. Keep in mind that MOST of the time, it won't matter what size the boat is. If the interior layout or design is what you like about that boat, more often than not, we can configure whatever size hull it is that you want with that interior layout or design.

We encourage you to do your homework before buying. Most of our customers have been to the school of hard-knocks already and seen first hand that there is no substitution for a quality hull built to their specs. However, many of you will be first time buyers with little or no knowledge of what sets our boats apart from the quality and performance of others. We encourage you to read our Information page first! Then, compare what we offer to the competition's best. Make certain you are comparing apples to apples when price shopping and make sure your specific needs are being met. Most importantly, make sure that once your money has been spent, that the boat parked in the driveway is the perfect boat. The one you set out to buy that satisfies YOUR needs. Not the "model" on the showroom floor that happened to be on sale.
