Mud Motor Use

Please note that these are professional drivers in a controlled environment. DO NOT attempt these maneuvers on your own without proper instruction.

30 MPH!
This 18x44 Gator Trax is powered by the new 35 HP Hyperdrive Sport.

Thick Grass and Heavy Surface Vegetation
are no problem for this boat and motor combo!

17x44 Hyper-Tunnel with new Mud Buddy Hyperdrive
This is the result in terms of thrust given by the gear reduction and 12" prop on the new Hyperdrive. Serious propulsion! Click here to see video of this rig in action

Thick mats of grass over mud

Muddy Take Offs
We are often asked how the new Hyperdrive does when you stop and try to take off in mud. Our response...GREAT! See for your self in the video. Click here.

Got A Vegetation Problem?

17x44 Hyper-Tunnel with 31 Hyperdrive
Gator Trax top welder, Chad Wall, puts on a show at the South Carolina Poker Run Benefit. 30 MPH, sitting down, in mud and vegetation!

Rollin'!

We can not stress the importance of being able to carry a load enough! If your mud motor "dies" under a load, you need a Hyperdrive.

Welcome to the Jungle

Grass Blastin!
Sorry for the blurry resolution. 30 MPH in the grass is tough to capture!

17x44 Hyper-Tunnel with new Mud Buddy Hyperdrive
The new Hyperdrive is a HUGE improvement in manueverability over traditional longshaft mud motors. It's not even close! When was the last time you drove like this, 28mph in MUD with your longtail?See what 28mph in mud looks like. Click here for video

Filling Gator Tags

Bank Jump You are looking at a spoil bank in April. This bank is about 2 feet tall in solid hard ground, not mushy mud. On top of that, it is overgrown with about 3feet of vegetation. The width of the jump (the bank itself) was over 16 feet. (We have the completion of this jump on video if there are any doubts!)

Gator Trax VP, David Porter, spends the hot off season field testing his 18x44GE with a 29HP Kawasaki.

While we know this is not a typical load, your load may mimic this with gear. Your boat AND your engine had better be able to handle it!

Log Jump If you look close, you can see the prop about to clear the log that was just jumped. Notice the splash that is just occuring. Talk about a long jump!

Gator Trax Bank Jump- 15 feet of hard solid earth. No problem.

Chad Wall, one of Gator Trax top welders, puts his boat through what he expects you to put yours through...years of tough runnin!

Wasteland This trail is full of thick lillies, mud, and buck brush. No problem.

Chad Wall, one of Gator Trax top welders, makes certain his boat receives the same rigorous use as the boats he builds for you!

When neither turning left or right seems like a "good choice", be glad you're in a Gator Trax!

There is very little water under these hydrilla mats. In fact, as you can see, it is mostly a mud flat. A round chine, smooth bottom hull makes all the difference in the world

Light at the end of the tunnel

Ditch Runnin! This ditch, barely wider than this hull, is being navigated by an 18x44 Gator Trax w/ 29 Kawasaki.

Narrow Passage
If you have doubts about where you can take your 18x44 Gator Trax, look at this ditch. It is as winding as it is narrow.

Notice the mud behind the transom.
This terrain is what a round chined, slick bottom boat was MADE FOR!

Gator Trax VP, David Porter,
is not happy unless he's in the "bad stuff"! Give this man something to run over and he smiles!
